If you are looking for a better way to capture scores, then take advantage of the free Tournament Manager program. Initially designed for the 2005 SA National Championships, and subsequently used in hundreds of club and provincial shoots, including all national championships since it’s design, the program is now available under the General Public License and is distributed in the hope that it will be useful.
The Tournament Manager is a comprehensive program that produces score sheets, data capture sheets, results in many formats (including Excel and HTML for the web), allows you to capture scores by arrow (end or distance) as well as an ad-hoc facility which allows the operator to capture the total by distance. It even calculates catering and medal requirements.
It is an easy to use program and comes complete with help files and a manual. Compatible with all Windows platforms, it does not require a powerful computer.
Using the ad-hoc function (totals per distance) , it takes less than three minutes to capture the scores for 30 archers and produce the results and medal requirements.
