For Recurve Cadet Archers who are endeavouring to qualify to not only compete internationally in their own age category, but also in a more senior team the following has been agreed to:

  • In order to qualify for the cadet team – the archer will be allowed to compete at 70 meters as this will give them the opportunity to eliminate against more opponents and if they have an average score of 615 at 70 meters they will be eligible for selection for a cadet international event.

  • In the event that there is a team selection event for a cadet team, the bonus points that they will earn with the national average score will not be adjusted – i.e. if there are 4 eligible archers, if the cadet archer who has shot at 70 meters has the lowest national average score, they will go into the team selection with the appropriate bonus point.

  • Should they shoot an average score of 620 at 70 meters they will also be eligible for selection for a junior international event.

  • In order to qualify for the senior team the average will still be 640 shot at 70 meters as per the squad document.
