After reaching the final Koos is quoted on the FITA website as saying

”It’s the first time that I compete in a World Cup event, and I end up in the gold medal final. I have competed in bowhunting before and have already won the most important IFAA events. I have only started shooting FITA competitions last year. I wanted to take up a new challenge and see what I could do under the FITA format. I’m not familiar with the big archery names but I had heard about my opponent Jorge JIMENEZ.
